Welcome to your new Halfords store, Gateshead!
Following a full refit and upgrade, we look forward to seeing you in your shiny new store which opened on 28th June. Located just two doors down on the Team Valley Retail Park, the store is one of the first in the Halfords portfolio to unveil a brand new concept giving a modern new look and feel to the shop.
So, what can you expect?
There is a complete refresh of store fittings and décor, including a customer lounge, complete with connectivity points and coffee. There is also the added benefit of free Wifi so customers can put their time to good use whilst one of over 30 services is performed on their car or bike.
We have chosen to prioritise the customer experience, dedicating a practical and comfortable area for customers to use while they wait for a bulb, wiper-blade or battery to be fitted. There will also be a dedicated trade card* point for loyal business customers – Store Development Director

Customers can expect an exciting new ‘SmartFit’ centre, where your measurements will be taken virtually to find the bike that’s a perfect fit. ‘Try before you buy’ comes to life with the option to test any bike prior to purchase, and you can also try on our cycling clothing range in confidence and privacy with changing room facilities located off the shop floor.
Outside the shop we’ve enhanced your experience further, adding a block of dedicated fitting bays for bulb, battery and wiper blade fittings. Soon you’ll be able to book these services in store and wait whilst we complete on-the-spot fitting.
