Winter driving conditions mean it’s more important than ever to make sure your car is fit for purpose. But research shows that one in five motorists currently has a warning light showing on their dashboard and less than half fully understand what these symbols mean.
To help drivers become more familiar with warning lights and stay safe on the roads this Christmas, we’re putting the lights somewhere they can’t be missed: on Christmas jumpers.
These exclusive jumpers feature a colourful pattern of warning lights along with explanations of each symbol, and you can be in with a chance of winning one by bidding in our charity auction. There are a limited number available, and only the top eight bidders will receive a version that includes LED lights, so don’t miss out!
The auction opens at 10.00am on 29th November 2021 and you can place your bid by completing the form below. If you’re one of our highest bidders, we’ll then be in touch by email to arrange payment. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the invaluable work of road safety charity IAM Road Smart.
- This Auction (the “Auction”) is open to all persons aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom, including employees, and their immediate families, of Halfords Limited, their associated companies, agents, agencies, and anyone else professionally connected with the Promotion. The Auction opens at 10am on 29th November 2021 and the closing date has been extended to 10am on 20th December 2021 (the “Auction Period”).
- Customers who placed a bid ahead of the original closing date of 10th December 2021 will have their bids honoured.
- The Auction is organised by Halfords Limited of Icknield Street Drive, Washford West, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 0DE (“Halfords”).
- By entering into the Auction, a customer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Any personal data relating to customers will be used wholly in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. In particular, personal data will only be used to administer this Auction, unless consent is provided otherwise.
- In order to be eligible for this Auction, customers must:
- Be a resident of the United Kingdom;
- Apply to take part in the Auction via https://www.halfords.com/halfordschristmasjumper
- Complete the relevant application form (“Auction Form”)
- Submit their bid into the Auction form for the Halfords Christmas Warning Lights Jumper (“Jumper/s”);
- Payment will not be taken at the bidding stage, and will only be requested once the auction has been completed and the Jumpers allocated.
- The Jumpers will be allocated to the highest bidders, and will only be available while stocks last.
- There will be x8 light up Jumpers and x80 regular Jumpers available, with light up Jumpers allocated to the 8 highest bidders first.
- Following completion of the Auction Form and confirmation of a customer’s bid, customer’s will be entitled to revoke their offer by contacting halfordschristmasjumper@goodrelations.co.uk until the end of the Auction Period. Following the end of the Auction Period, all live winning bids will be considered accepted by Halfords and customers will be committed to spending the amount submitted on their Auction Form.
- Customers will be notified of their successful bid and payment terms through a confirmation email after the end of the Auction Period.
- Payment must be made within 7 days of the confirmation email, and Jumpers will be dispatched to customers within 14 days of payment (Halfords cannot guarantee delivery pre-Christmas).
- If payment is not made within 7 days of the confirmation email, the Jumper will go to the next highest bidder.
